A key pillar of O7 Therapy’s commitment to providing a comprehensive and robust mental health service is its highly-esteemed Advisory Board: Dr.Tarek Okasha, and Dr. Mona El Rakahwy, as well as our Advisors: Dr. Hossam Guirgis and Dr. Mohamed Nasr.
Our Advisory Board ensures O7 Therapy remains rooted in best practices while also pushing the envelope in the intersection of technology and mental health. We are determined to raise the bar in these respective areas, and that level of credibility and responsibility is made possible by adhering to the considerable impact and contributions made by our advisors.
Comprised of pioneers in the field with considerable experience and expertise navigating the complexities of mental health, our Advisory Board is extensive, and its role deeply crucial to the accountability and level excellence O7 Therapy is dedicated to, particularly in the MENA region. The purpose of the Advisory Board is to provide accountability and precedence, and has its role to assure both therapists and O7 clients, that our network is one that thrives off peer-to-peer supervision, collaboration, answerability, and transparency.

DR. MONA EL-RAKHAWY
is a Professor of Psychiatry at Cairo University. She is also the founder of three Egyptian institutes in the mental health field: the Egyptian Association for Group Therapies (EAGT), of which she is also president, the Rakhawy Institute for Training and Research (RITR), of which she is also CEO and, the Diwan Psychotherapy Centre, of which she is also Director.
Dr. Rakhawy has notable contributions in raising awareness of the importance of psychotherapy, in addition to introducing different psychotherapeutic approaches, such as creative arts and psychodrama. She also plays a significant role in developing psychotherapy training programs with an emphasis on the integrated experiential techniques. Moreover, Dr. Rakhawy has organized a series of workshops, lectures and conferences both locally and internationally. She has several publications in the field of psychiatry and psychotherapy.
DR. TAREK OKASHA
is a Professor of Psychiatry at Ain Shams University. He has made significant contributions to the development of educational programs for psychiatry in Egypt. He is the Director of the World Psychiatric Association (WPA) Collaborating Centre for Research and Training at the Okasha Institute of Psychiatry, Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University. He founded the Psychiatry unit at Misr University for Science and Technology, and is a visiting Professor of Psychiatry at the Psychology Department in Cairo University.
Dr. Okasha holds notable positions in the scientific community, he is the recipient of the WPA Presidential Commendation and was a member of the WPA Executive Committee as Secretary for Scientific Meetings from 2008-2014. He is President of the Arab Board of Psychiatry and the Chairperson of the Promotion committee of professors and assistant professors in psychiatry at the supreme council of universities in Egypt. He is also the editor in-chief of the Middle East Current Psychiatry Journal. Dr. Okasha is the President of the Egyptian Alzheimer Society, and is an executive member of many international associations and organizations such as the Egyptian Psychiatric Association and the Egyptian Society of Biological Psychiatry. He has published over 70 papers and contributed to 30 books on both the national and international levels. He has supervised more than 85 masters and doctorate degree theses.
